What happened to Balsamiq Wireframes for Google Drive?

On February 15, 2023, we stopped selling Balsamiq for Google Drive to new customers. It will be completely turned off on December 17, 2024.

Why are you sunsetting Balsamiq for Google Drive?

In short, because we can no longer justify the costs of maintaining it. Most of our customers prefer to use Balsamiq Cloud, so we decided to focus on that going forward.

I’m a current Balsamiq for Google Drive customer. What happens to me?

You can keep working on your projects in Balsamiq for Google Drive until the tool is completely turned off on December 17, 2024.

We want to make this transition as smooth as possible. Starting July 19, 2024, we stopped charging for Balsamiq for Google Drive, and you won’t be able to change your plan on the billing page.

This will give you time to move to Balsamiq Cloud at your own convenience.

Note: Balsamiq for Google Drive saves your projects in Google Drive so the project files will remain available to you after the tool has been turned off.

How do I make the switch to Balsamiq Cloud?

Migrating to Balsamiq Cloud is easy. Here are the few steps to follow:

Sign up for a Balsamiq Cloud account.
Download your Balsamiq projects from Google Drive.

Import your projects to Balsamiq Cloud.

Now you can start working in Balsamiq Cloud, on your own or with your team!
