Installing Balsamiq Wireframes for Google Drive
Installation
Note: Balsamiq Wireframes for Google Drive is no longer available for installation. Please contact support@balsamiq.com with any questions.
Permissions
During the installation process, the app will ask for the following permissions:
View metadata for files in your Google Drive is needed to access a project's containing folder (for our breadcrumb link).
Connect to an external service means that the integration uses our back-end service for caching and for real-time collaboration.
Allow this application to run when you are not present is needed to sync offline a project to your Google Drive (e.g. if the browser is not closed properly).
Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications is needed for the Docs, Sheets and Slides integrations.
Note: Balsamiq Wireframes for Google Drive is not compatible with Google's Advanced Protection Program. If this is active on your Google account, get in touch with us to talk about other versions of Balsamiq.
Location of the app
Once installed, Balsamiq Wireframes for Google Drive will be available in your Google Drive "New" menu.
If you are using the Chrome browser, you can also access Balsamiq Wireframes for Google Drive from the Chrome Apps tab (open a new tab and type "chrome://apps/").

Purchasing
Feel free to take advantage of the fully-functional 30-days trial period before purchasing a subscription. After 30 days, you will still be able to view existing wireframes in read only mode, but you will not be able to edit or create new wireframes unless you sign up for a paid plan.
Monthly and yearly subscriptions are available for individuals and teams. Details on how to sign up for and manage your paid plan are here (Short version: Go to "Help > Sign Up for a Paid Plan" in the editor).
Uninstalling
You can uninstall the application by going to the Manage Apps tab in the Google Drive settings, then selecting "Disconnect from Drive" from the Balsamiq Wireframes options menu.
Note: Removing the app from the chrome://apps/ launcher can be done by right-clicking the app from there and selecting "Remove from Chrome", as shown below.
