Sales tax is currently collected in the United States only, particularly in several U.S. states where Balsamiq has economic nexus:

California, Illinois (including the City of Chicago), Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Utah, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin.

The list above is subject to change based on updates to tax regulations. If you live elsewhere, please consult with your tax advisers regarding the need to self-assess the use tax on your purchase.

Tax exemptions

If your billing address is in any of the jurisdictions above, and you hold exemption status, please send us a PDF or digital copy of your exemption certificate to support@balsamiq.com.

We will validate and use it to generate your unique Balsamiq-issued tax exemption customer code. You must use this code to purchase on our pricing page or subscribe to Cloud or Balsamiq Wireframes for Google Drive tax-free.

The "Tax Exemption Code" field appears under the optional fields of the pricing page or your subscription billing page.
